What is the Giclee process?
A Giclee image is a state-of-the-art, high tech fine art reproducing process utilizing a highly precise ink jet printer that produces images with an extremely high resolution. This highly revered method is used when reproducing fine art because of its remarkable color permanence and resistance to ultra-violet light. The UV resistance guarantees the colors will remain in their original state without fading.

Helpful Tips
Worried about the quality of your photograph?
Don't worry about not having the "perfect" photo. You don't need to be a professional photographer to have a photo that will make a beautiful piece of art. Look for the things in the photo that motivated you to take it. It may have been a special moment - your pet was being playful or whimsical, clumsy or funny, or it was a special stage in its life (a puppy or a kitten). And don’t worry about any unwanted objects in the photo. Just let our artists know what you don’t like about the photo, and we will take it from there. It’s our job to make it great.
Need to take a photo?
Believe it or not, it's not about the quality of the camera, the size of the film, the number of megapixels, or the length of the lens. It's really all about the light. Soft light is good. That's why photographers like to shoot at sunrise or sunset. Hard, very high contrast light (noon), or not enough light is bad. Look at the shadows. If there are shadows, and they are soft, the light is just about perfect for a good photo. Make sure the light source is behind you or off to one side. Be sure to turn your flash off, and finally, take lots of shots. One of them will be a keeper.
